Located in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas, La Lupita offers a variety of Mexican dishes and is known for its delicious tacos. If you want to chase your food with a delicious artisanal shot of Mezcal, La Lupita is the spot.

Situated in the exclusive Pedregal area of Cabo San Lucas, El Farallon offers a unique dining experience with stunning views of the ocean. For fresh seafood, the ocean-to-table menu is unparalleled.

Another gem is located in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas. Edith’s has a variety of Mexican and international dishes, all served with a Guerreran twist. The organic chicken and pipian mole has our vote for a warming family meal.

For Cabo bars, we recommend El Squid Roe. This popular bar is in the Marina area of Cabo San Lucas and is known for its lively atmosphere and extensive drinks selection. As the sun sets, this place lights up across three floors for awesome dancing.

Exploring the Culture and History of Los Cabos

The Los Cabos area has a long and rich history, dating back to the 16th century when it was first explored by Spanish conquistadors. The region was originally inhabited by the Pericú people, who were hunter-gatherers and fishermen.

A Spanish ship arrived in the Bay of La Paz, captained by Hernán Cortés, in 1534, but a permanent settlement on the Baja Peninsula only came in 1697. Then, in the 1700s, Spanish Jesuit missionaries were sent to settle in Los Cabos.

In the 1840s, the Mexican-American War was occurring. America ended up conceding Baja California to Mexico, where it remains a brilliant Mexican vacation destination today.
